About POSKK

A Grassroots Force for Change in Bangladesh

Paribar O Shishu Kallayan Kendra (POSKK) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization established on July 1, 1991, in Tangail, Bangladesh — in direct response to the felt needs of the local community.

For over three decades, POSKK has built a strong institutional base to serve the most vulnerable: landless farmers, marginalised women, orphaned children, persons with disabilities, and victims of human rights violations. The organization operates with a bottom-up approach, ensuring communities are active participants — not passive recipients — in their own development.

POSKK works at the intersection of financial inclusion, education, health, environmental sustainability, and human rights — delivering holistic change that lasts.
